Easter

Lots of new things this Easter

10 am - Met with the Oak Grove Abbey folks at Barton Creek to participate in their service and witness the baptism of our friend Alyssa. It was a BEAUTIFUL shining, glorious morning.

12 pm - Invited to a scrumptious and well-seated lunch at the Abbey, which incidentally, is located in the same neighborhood as our coffee shop. It was really fun discovering this small community of believers.

2 pm - Leisurely nap time.

7:30 pm - Seder dinner at Chateau Vaclav. A first for all 14 of us. We agree that it would have been better on the actual day of Passover, but it worked out really well. We're considering making it a tradition...

back in A-town

We've been back for a week.

Our trip to Mexico was fabulous. Rejoicing...Remembering...Refreshing...Rootsy...Ripe with love and encouragement and even a little sorrow, which made it all the more Rich.

Thank you to all our Mexican brothers and sisters who host with such joy and exhuberance. Thanks also to our friends who put up with our whining and jonesin' for good coffee. Thank you to La Mestiza and the Paytons who have good coffee. =}

The wedding was almost as gorgeous as Jeanette. To sum it up--Sam's knees were literally shaking as she walked down the aisle. I would love to show you all the wonderful pictures that we took but we flaked out and forgot our camera. However, Theresa and Erin were kind enough to share theirs:

Seder

My friends and I are having a Christian Seder dinner on Easter. Has anyone ever held one of these in their homes? Any tips?
